Alright, now that we're all out of our Thanksgiving comas from that huge feast, it time for some more football! My overall record for these predictions is 1-0, which is very, very good. Technically, I could stop predicting games right now and have a perfect win-loss percentage. But I won't do that to you guys. We've got two very good games coming up tomorrow, and I hope that these predictions will help you get a good (or bad) mindset as we head into you teams' football games. Let's get started.
1. Redskins vs. Seahawks. Ahhhhhh Redskins. When you started off this season beating the Giants, everyone thought you were the real deal, after you got off to a great start. But now, it's gone all downhill form there. You've lost 6 straight games and are now considered as one of the worst teams in the league. What happened? You now face a team who has won back-to-back games, most notably one against the Ravens, and have a real threat in the running game. I'm sorry, but I can't see you winning this game. Sure you played a great game last week against the Cowboys, and fell just short of winning, but this isn't a divisional game. I don't think you'll be playing with as much passion as you did against the Cowboys. So for that reason, I predict the Seahawks to win, 24-17. I give you only a one touchdown loss because of the passing game you had last week. If that shows through again, you definitely will have a chance, but I don't believe it will be as easy as it was against the Cowboys. Good luck this week.
2. Eagles vs. Patriots. Two weeks ago, everyone thought the Eagle were done for. They had just come off a horrible loss to the Cardinals, and were about to face a great offense in the New York Giants. And a week later, after a hard fought win against those Giants, you definitely are closer to the division than two weeks ago. But, as I said before, you always play divisional opponents better than other teams. It happens because of the passion (and hatred in some cases) against your divisional opponents. So the question is, can your defensive and offensive lines play as great as they did against the Giants or was it just a one-time thing? Granted, I do believe they will play great, but I don't see them beating the Patriot offense, who, for the past couple of games, have been on fire. And that man they have as a tight end is almost like another receiver that you have cover, only bigger and better at blocking than other receivers. And what about Vince Young. Sure he lead the Eagles on a game winning drive that lasted almost an entire quarter, but can he do that against a this Patriots secondary who has held opponents in the last 2 games to a total of 19 points? You may be pumped up and excited after that win, but I don't see you winning this game. In all of the 12 Super Bowl rematches that were played this year, the winning team of that Super Bowl is 9-3. And do you know what this game is? It's a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX. Therefore, I give the win to the Patriots in a final score of 30-21.
So there you have it. I hope you have a great Sunday watching football, and I also hope you will not be disappointed. Stay tuned tomorrow for some more analysis as I will have rapid reactions to both the Redskins and Eagle games. Monday morning, I will have the predictions for the New York Giants game Monday night against the New Orleans Saints. Have a great night, and I will talk to you tomorrow!
