Rapid Reaction Giants vs. Saints

Game over. Saints 49, Giants 24. My thought: Absolutely appalled by the defensive play in the secondary. I could have played better pass protection than any of those guys on the team. They gave up almost 600 yards, the second most in team history. The same goes for the defensive line. I don't understand why they can't get anymore pressure on Brees. Absolutely horrible play by them. I don't see any spark or enthusiasm from them. They should be pumped up to have a chance to control their own destiny to get into the playoffs. But that is pretty much the opposite of the way they played. This is exactly the opposite of last week. This time, it was their offenses time to shine. Eli Manning and his receivers had an absolutely awesome day despite losing this big. At one point, Eli converted 21 straight passes, and Victor Cruz had a big night with 2 touchdowns. This was a great offensive showing, but an absolutely appalling performance by their defense. I hope that this team can get better next week as they face the Green Bay Packers, where they'll need the same level of play from the offense and a LOT of effort with the defense. I hope Eli can inspire this team with the way he plays every single week. Good luck Giants.....

I will be bringing more coverage of this game, later today...........
