Here are a few things that come out of the Redskins domination of the New York Giants.....
Wow. This Giants team played so bad today and everything went wrong today. There is so much inconsistency. For once this season, Eli Manning was asked to do too much. Especially when the refs called back that touchdown pass from Ware. Eli had to throw 2 straight touchdowns in order to get a touchdown, but none of them were touchdowns. Besides the penalty on the second one, the refs called a horrible no touchdown off of a bobble ball in the endzone. I look at the Green Bay game, and I see a bobbled touchdown that was called a touchdown. I looked at the Cowboys game yesterday where, I think it was Miles Austin, caught a touchdown pass that was bobbled, and still called a touchdown... What happens there???? I don't understand how you are this bad against arguably one of the worst offenses in the league, and I don't understand how everyone drops every throw that Eli makes. They're almost always pretty good throws, but every time, there is always something wrong with his receivers, whether it's a bad route or just a complete drop.... Why??????? Why? The good news (if you can call it good news after the game today) is that the Giants can win their next 2 games, and then their in the playoffs..... But that's definitely not a given against the Jets and the Cowboys.
As for the skins, they just outplayed the Giants on every level. They shut down the explosive Giants offense, they won the turnover battle off of tipped passes, and their defense played outstanding. Rex Grossman was able to control the game with the run game and short pass game, and this just has to be very exciting. Unfortunately, it comes at a bad time... Why did you wait until now to start playing well? But we'll see what happens in the crazy next 2 weeks.
Next week, the Giants play the Jets in a pivotal game for both teams, and the Redskins play Vikings in a meaningless game. Good luck to both teams...... See you later.
